Architectural Technologies was focused on construction and building systems within a specific plan section of John Wardles ‘Burnt Earth Beach House’. Specifically, my plan section was positioned within the kitchen, and suspended study space, providing a depth of understanding and detail to this specific area of the property. Snapshots of specific elements from two assignments have been included to demonstrate knowledge on construction progress and system installation.

The first project examines architectural systems of the Burnt Earth Beach House. Divided into six stages the exploded isometric details the system operations within my plan portion while the diagram expands on the information described. The six systems displayed include: Structural Systems Below Ground, Structural Systems Above Ground, Environmental Projections, Building Services, Passive Design and Active Systems, Physical Enclosures. Centrally, this assignment aimed to diverge a depth of knowledge and understanding towards the operability of the building and expand understanding beyond initial construction.

The second assignment followed the various stages of construction depicted in plan and section portion. This enabled the understanding of the built form across development and construction, considering structural systems, finishes and process through development. Additionally, this project divulges on understanding building standards within each stage of construction.
