Studio Delta's site was situated within Enterprize Park, boardering the Yarra River, Melbourne Aquarium and Flinders Street Station. Questioning the position and context of the library within the city, this project aimed to broaded the provacation and redefine this position.

The library in the simplest definition is found to be a ‘knowledge institute’, a place where knowledge is uncovered, maintained and explored through an individual’s journey. Simply put, the library acts as a vessel for the user to uncover ‘knowledge’ derived from their alternating experiences within various architectural moments. The ‘Library’ aims to reconnect traditional values of learning and contemplation and steer the modern library away from the trajectory of glorified study halls and community centres.

The library acts as a discussion on who can cultivate knowledge and who has access to inner monologues amongst the backdrop of a bustling city scape where performance outweighs identity.
